Kaliki Browser privacy.
Last updated: 30 May 2026 · Effective immediately.
In short: Kaliki Browser does not collect, store or transmit any personal data. All browsing data — history, bookmarks, passwords, cookies — stays on your device and never leaves it. The app shows ads via Google AdMob (which collects standard advertising identifiers), and the Discover feed fetches headlines from Google News RSS. We never collect your browsing history, search queries or location.

- Usage analytics or telemetry
2. Data stored locally on your device
The following data is stored only on your device and never leaves it:

| Bookmarks | Saved pages | Device only |

You can clear all local data at any time from Settings → Clear Data.
3. Third-party services
3.1 Google AdMob (advertising)
We display ads via Google AdMob to support free access to the app. AdMob may collect:
- Advertising ID (resettable device identifier)
- IP address (for geographic ad targeting)
- General location (country / city from IP — not GPS)
- Device information (model, OS version)
You can opt out of personalised ads: Device Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
3.2 Google News RSS (Discover feed)
The Discover feed fetches headlines from Google News RSS feeds based on your selected interests. No personal data is sent — only the topic category and language preference.
3.3 Mozilla GeckoView (browser engine)
Kaliki Browser uses Mozilla's GeckoView engine, which includes Enhanced Tracking Protection (blocks third-party trackers) and Safe Browsing (warns about dangerous sites). Mozilla's privacy notice: mozilla.org/privacy.
4. Permissions used
| Permission | Why | When asked |
|---|---|---|
| Internet | Load web pages | Always (required) |
| Camera | QR scanning, video calls on websites | When a site requests it |
| Microphone | Voice search, video calls on websites | When a site requests it |
| Location | Maps, local search on websites | When a site requests it |
| Storage | Download files | When downloading |
| Notifications | Download complete alerts | On first launch (Android 13+) |
All permissions can be denied. The browser works without them (some website features may not work).
5. Ad blocking & tracking protection
Kaliki Browser includes built-in protection:
- Enhanced Tracking Protection (Strict) — blocks trackers, cryptominers, fingerprinters
- WebExtension ad blocker — blocks ads on websites including YouTube
- Per-site shield toggle — disable blocking for specific sites if needed
These protections run entirely on your device. No data about blocked content is sent anywhere.
6. Incognito / private mode
When Private mode is enabled: no browsing history is saved, cookies are cleared when you close private tabs, and there are no autofill suggestions.
7. Children's privacy
Kaliki Browser is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. The app is rated "Everyone" and contains no age-restricted content.
8. Data security
All data is stored locally on your device using Android's built-in security: SharedPreferences with app-private access, GeckoView's sandboxed storage, and no cloud sync (data never leaves your device).
9. Your rights
- View — see your history, bookmarks and passwords in the app
- Delete — clear any or all data from Settings
- Export — bookmarks can be shared via text
- Opt out — disable personalised ads in device settings
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
